HEALTH AND NUTRITION (H&N) PROGRAM
Health and Nutrition is one of the core functions of Healthcare Foundation Organization (HFO). Our health and nutrition program started in March 1st, 2019 with a Health Project funded by SSHF in Jonglei state, Warrap and currently in Northern Bahr Al Ghazel states. Our Health & Nutrition program provides health education and palliative care to ensure that individuals and communities have the knowledge and resources to lead healthy lives. We focus our efforts on communities where malnutrition is high and the need for reproductive health and HIV/AIDS awareness and education is evident. The primary objectives of HFO’s Health & Nutrition program are to:
- Improve access to quality health care and nutrition services for poor and marginalized communities in South Sudan.
- Improved access to water and sanitation, enabling a good environment for improved hygiene for poor and marginalized communities.
Result: Improved health and nutrition status of vulnerable communities through provision of knowledge and access to quality healthcare and nutritional services for a better health.
