Another 12-months project funded by SSHF under the Health Cluster that
started on the 1st of June 2020 to the 10th of June 2021.
This is a multi-sector project with two mobile clinics
(Chotbora and Awiel East County) and then an additional Static
PHCU in Fangak County (Paguir PHCU). The implementation of this
project is coordinated under the lead of ACF-USA and Hold the Child
(HCO) consortium both in Fangak & Awiel East County, Jonglei and
Northern Bahr El Gazhel states respectively.
Goal: To increase access to lifesaving emergency healthcare
services to vulnerable populations of 10,593 with 7,704 Fangak County,
Jonglei State and 2,889 beneficiaries targeted in Northern Bahr
El Gazhel State; focusing on the major causes of morbidity and mortality.
Highlights of accomplishments for SSHF third allocation
Healthcare Foundation Organization (HFO) consulted 7,409 beneficiaries by the mid of 2021 (reaching 70% of the target).
With another 2 months to go – HFO has plans to continue service provision
We also conducted refresher trainings in December healthcare
providers, County Health department and community on IDSR/EWARS,
IPC/WASH, CMR/MPHSS and risk communication.
