This is a 7-quarter project funded by World Bank and monitored by UNICEF. Provision of Essential Health Services Project (PEHSP) was granted under the lead of Christian Mission for Development (CMD) and consortium member Episcopal Development Aid (EDA) to Fangak and Ayod (referred to as Lot 6 – Jonglei and Upper Nile).

Goal: To deliver low cost, high impact essential health services to a catchment of 354,497 inhabitants of Fangak and Ayod. HFO was assigned 5 out of 24 health facilities (2 PHCCs and 3 PHCUs).

Highlights of accomplishments for SSHF second allocation:

• HFO completed two quarters successfully with consultation of over 31,648 Outpatients
• Over 9,800 under 5s were seen across the 5 health facilities
• HFO Vaccinated over 500 children with Measles
• 231 deliveries were performed by skilled birth attendants for the two quarters
